Semiotic Analisyse - Videos ( summer homework)

To teach a person something effectively is it vital the teacher has a way connect with the learner, finding an interest in which you can compare situations, events, people, etc. In a teacher student situation, say in school, it is much easier to connect as you can keep a conversation and ask question. It is a personal learning experience. However learning through tv is very different. All questions have to be answered within a small time period, without anything actually being asked. They also have to keep the viewers' attention the whole time. To do this you have to use a variety of techniques, such as visual affects, simulations, re-enactments, professional speakers and clips that 'document' the reality of what the documentary is about.
I am going to look at 3 different kinds of documentaries and pick out key points about each video, to point out what makes them a documentary and what makes them effective.

Both Videos taken from www.youtube.com
